A Seminar on “Access to Academic Knowledge in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” was held at our university.

Lecturer Mustafa Cesur participated as a speaker in a seminar for graduate students. The seminar emphasized the importance of information literacy, digital literacy, and technology literacy.

Cesur highlighted the necessity of these fields, which hold a significant place among 21st-century skills, for academic success and professional careers.

Cesur also explained to participants how to effectively use national and international academic libraries, demonstrating with examples how to access and utilize various academic databases available through universities in Turkey and worldwide.

One of the most interesting topics of the seminar was the impact of artificial intelligence applications on information search techniques.

Cesur explained how future information retrieval methods are being transformed by AI-powered tools, demonstrating with sample applications how next-generation AI search engines and applications can be used for various purposes.

He also touched on AI-supported article writing processes, sharing with participants how ethical principles can be upheld throughout these processes.

Questions from participants were also answered throughout the training.

At the end of the event, students expressed their satisfaction with gaining new perspectives in order to improve their skills in accessing information required by the age.
